Cleansing is definitely my least favorite step concerning the application (and subsequent removal) of makeup. I mean, isn’t it painful to take off the great job you’ve done with the latest UD palette or that amazing Chanel lipstick? Is it just me?
Well, it might just be me, but I think cleansing is like getting a bikini wax or giving away that amazing pair of jeans you got in 10th grade that won’t ever fit you again: painful, yet necessary.
Luckily enough, a few months ago, SEPHORA launched a product that makes this mandatory step in anyone’s skincare routine a tad more enjoyable: the Ultimate Warming Cleanser.
It is a cleansing gel with a honey-like texture that warms up (slightly) when massaged onto dry skin. The sticky feeling, which I think might bother some people, actually disappears after it lathers up. Personally, I really like its tackiness though, because it makes you feel like it’s literally ungluing deep-down impurities from the pores. Just use a separate eye makeup remover and you’ll be fine.
SEPHORA’s website states that this cleanser ‘is enriched with maple sap extract which is rich in nutritive elements for comfortable skin that is never dry or tight’. It definitely does leave your face thoroughly clean without feeling stripped.
Because of its bizarre texture, I guess this might be one of those products you either LOVE or HATE. To me, this is definitely LOVE, I’m already on my second tube!
