April 2016: Current Crushes and It’s My 30th Birthday!

Dear Diary,

The Big 3-0 is here… Can you believe that? I most certainly can’t!

It feels… weird. I definitely don’t feel the way I thought I would when turning 30. I thought I’d have my sh*t together by now, you know… I think I was a better person 10 years ago than I am now. I was so confident and optimistic back then…

There is one thing I think I’ve learnt in the last few years, though, and it’s not to worry and stress out about petty stuff. Most things can be figured out and fixed, you know. Unless it’s a matter of life and death (literally), it is not irreparable.

But dear Diary, let’s lighten up the mood! Wanna hear about my favorite products of the month?

Here they are!

YSL Les Sahariennes Sun-Kissed Blur Perfector in 06 Sienna

A balm-to-powder bronzer that blurs the look of pores and fine lines while giving you the most natural sukissed look? Believe it or not, it really exists, and it’s the YSL Les Sahariennes Sun-Kissed Blur Perfector. Find out more about it in my full review.

Smith and Cult Nailed Lacquers in Bitter Buddhist & Doe My Dear

The Smith and Cult nail polish formula is the most long-wearing I’ve ever tried, and I’m completely in love with it.

Quite literally.

Read about our romance in my previous post.

L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate

As I told you here, this is a body moisturizer worth waiting 10 years for… Why, you ask? Well, it smells divine, sinks in quickly, and is nicely moisturizing. Plus, the packaging is gorgeous!

KIKO Wanderlust Desert Dunes Trio Baked Blush in 01 Lust Coral

I tried a few pieces from the KIKO x Lovegrove Wanderlust collection and liked everything but one thing (here you may find the full review)… With its super smooth texture and luminous finish, the Desert Dunes Trio Baked Blush is definitely the product that impressed me the most. I highly recommend it!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur in Fair/Light

As I said in my review, the Effaclar BB Blur may very well be my favorite base product of all time. I just love how great it is at minimizing pores and fine lines! If you have normal to oily skin and don’t mind silicony textures, chances are you’ll love it too!

What have you been loving this month? And did you learn any valuable lessons in recent years?

Aww Happy Birthday Carol! I hope that you’re enjoying everything and having the best day!! As like you said petty things aren’t worth thinking about. That way of being is so admirable and I definitely need to start practising that myself. I thought that the YSL Les Sahariennes Sun Kissed Blur Perfector looked so gorgeous in your full review though. I love how natural looking it was, but also how many skin benefits it owns. As well the KIKO Baked Blush looks beautiful, I have a huge obsession for peachy/coral shades. I have been loving my M.A.C blush in the shade Melba and the ABH Glow Kit – I’m really trying to get in the glowing, Spring mood lol.:)

Happy Birthday again! 30 is just a number, I didn’t feel any different when I turned 30 and I still feel the same being 31 now. Any big birthday plans?

    Buon Compleanno!
    Happy (bit late) Birthday!
My 30’s were the best time of my life, I thought! That is until I turned 40. The good news is, it only gets better with each passing day. I don’t know what it is but I feel more beautiful (and I was a model when I was young), more sexy, more happy and more alive than I ever did in my 20’s! I wish this for you and that all your dreams may come true!

Dear Caroline, on the blog again. Happy, happy birthday. i cant imagine you have been a better person ten years ago because if you were, you would have been perfection. I cant imagine anyone more positive optimistic and lovable than your 30 year old self, and I bet you will continue to improve with every passing year. I am very glad I got to know you and I hope that we will get to meet in person while we both are in our awesome 30is (which leaves us about three years. No pressure…)

Happy birthday! You know I just turned 37 and I don’t have my sh*t together either. I think that no one ever really has their sh*t together, ever. People just pretend to!
