New Chanel Le Rouge Crayon de Couleur: A Much-Needed Winter Pick-Me-Up

Chanel Le Rouge Crayon de Couleur Jumbo Longwear Lip Crayon N° 6 Framboise ($37)

There are only three things that can lift my mood in this freezing, overcast weather:

  1. Central heating
  2. Hot chocolate
  3. A little ChanelObvs!

I mean, look at the big smile the new Chanel Le Rouge Crayon de Couleur has put on my face!

Lip swatch of the Chanel Le Rouge Crayon de Couleur N° 6 Framboise. Today I’m also wearing the Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet Foundation in 10 Beige and the Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in 10 Noir

The new Chanel Le Rouge Crayon de Couleur N° 6 Framboise is a twist-up lip crayon with a high-shine finish and  good staying power. If you’re prone to bleeding, though, I recommend using an invisible liner around your lips, as such a creamy, glossy formula in a bright shade like Framboise can be pretty unforgiving. Other than that, the formula is comfortable to wear and doesn’t emphasize any lip texture, so it definitely gets my stamp of approval!

As you probably know, when it comes to bright shades I normally prefer a matte finish, but there’s something about the juicy look of this beautiful raspberry fuchsia that really maximizes the usual mood-lifting effects Chanel has on me by making me think of warm summer nights.

Whenever I wear it, I find myself daydreaming of casually putting it on to go explore some ancient Greek town after a long day spent at the beach…

[Then I usually abruptly realize it’s the dead of winter and summer is over 160 days away (but who’s counting?) and I end up more depressed than I was to begin with, but I guess you don’t need to know that…! 😉 ]

If you too need a winter pick-me-up, you can find the Chanel Les Rouges Crayons de Couleur right now at

The red looks good on you! The lip crayon looks SUPER purse friendly, which is something I need nowadays given the amount of crap I’ve been leaving in my purses! Mm I could use a hot chocolate right now too….

I choose the promo picture for my upcoming Inspired by post, simply because I loved the lipstick and the brightness and the big, big smile. Such a pretty color!

This is such a gorgeous colour and I knew it would look great on you after seeing your instagram post on this lip shade.

Suits you beautifully, red really is your colour (although you can pull off any colour, so beautiful Carol) 🙂

I agree, heating, chocolate and Chanel are the perfect Winter motivators! As always, this shade suits you so much, I love its’ unique pink undertones. Also, glossy formulas look perfect on you and makes a nice change in the Winter. I’m still wearing my glosses and they definitely make me feel a little more Summery!!

What a pretty color! I haven’t explored the Crayon de Couleur range yet, but being a big fan of Chubby Stick-like easy to slap on lip crayons, I’ll definitely give the formula a try.
