Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad in 268 Candeur Et Expérience, Illusion D’Ombre Eyeshadow in 128 Rouge Brûlé, and Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in 58 Rouge Vie are my personal picks from the indescribably gorgeous Chanel Le Rouge N°1 Fall 2016 Makeup Collection
I waited for my Chanel order of the Le Rouge N°1 Fall 2016 Makeup Collection like a first-grader waits for Santa…
Remember when you were a kid and used to go to sleep really early on Christmas Eve so that the moment of opening your presents on Christmas morning would come sooner?
Well, I confess that when I placed my order on Chanel‘s Italian website and read that delivery would take 3-6 business days, I immediately started to check my mental diary for the following days and was glad to realize that they’d be pretty jam-packed.
You know, so that the delivery would come sooner! 😉
When the day finally came and I went downstairs to meet the delivery man at the door, my legs must have been a blurry circle like The Road Runner’s.
And, I swear, opening the parcel was a “heavenly choir and glorious sunlight” type of moment.
See how the Chanel box is lit by heavenly light? 😉 (And, incidentally, I may live in the tiniest apartment ever, but this box is STAYING! Mr. Page has already been warned.)
Can you hear the heavenly choir?? *Ahh-Ahh-Ahhhhh*
The order had been packaged so immaculately that I cried a little when I took everything out of the box, LOL. And I kept crying when I first inspected the actual products. I mean, you know the tears of awe you get when you see something breathtakingly beautiful, like the Grand Canyon or Niagara Falls? Well, that was my type of tears when I saw the Chanel Le Rouge products.
Ready for a real eye-feast? (You may cry, if you want. I promise I won’t tell anyone. 😉 )

The red in the outer corner adds a beautiful, unexpected twist to the neutral look, don’t you think?

Look at this quad.
Just look at it!
Isn’t it a stunner?
The Chanel Les 4 Ombres in 268 Candeur Et Expérience has everything I’ve always wanted in an eyeshadow quad.
With a twist? Check.
Easy to blend? Check.
If you’re debating whether you should drop 61 pretty dollars on this little palette, I say GO FOR IT (as long as it’s in your budget, obviously). You won’t be disappointed!
Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Eyeshadow in 128 Rouge Brûlé ($36)

The Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in 128 Rouge Brûlé may very well be my favorite cream eyeshadow of all times.
I love its bouncy consistency, its intense coppery hue, and its almost metallic finish (no chunks of glitter in sight!).
Oh, and I also love how long it lasts (on top of the NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base) and how easy it is to diffuse its edges with a blending brush.
Basically, I just love everything about it!
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in 58 Rouge Vie ($37)
Ahhh, the Chanel Rouge Allure clicky packaging turns my eyes into little hearts…

I really like how the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in 58 Rouge Vie and the Illusion D’Ombre Eyeshadow in 128 Rouge Brûlé go together
The formula of the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in 58 Rouge Vie is simply impeccable: luxurious, comfortable, and long-lasting.
I have a hard time describing the shade, though. I even asked Mr. Page what shade he thought it was (yeah, I was that desperate!) and his unexpected reply was: “It’s red.”
To me, it looks like a brick red with a hint of pink. I find it a very sophisticated, grown-up type of red. I have nothing quite like it in my stash and I’m very much in love.
Sooo, listen to me, the Chanel Le Rouge N°1 Fall 2016 Makeup Collection is honestly the most beautiful collection I’ve ever seen, and if I win the lottery in the next few weeks (mental note: remember to play the lottery), I’ll buy every single piece from it.
Ahh, if only Santa came sooner this year…! 😉
Have you tried anything from the Chanel Le Rouge Fall Collection? If not, would you like to? And did you too go to sleep early on Christmas Eve so that Christmas morning would come sooner?
