Have you noticed how pink is now everywhere?
Homeware, clothing, design pieces, people’s hair, makeup…
You know, for example, there’s a certain omnipresent brand who has made all its branding around the color pink and then there’s Chanel who has released a mini-collection of lipsticks and nail polishes that are all variations of the same color.
Mesdames et Messieurs, voilà my three picks from the Chanel Mademoiselle Dreams collection.
Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in 600 Énergie, Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour in 162 Énergique, Chanel Rouge Allure Intense Long-Wear Lip Colour in 178 New Prodigious
Chanel Rouge Allure Intense Long-Wear Lip Colour in 178 New Prodigious ($37)

My first Chanel lipstick was the long-discontinued Rouge Allure in 27 Excentric, a stunning deep eggplant color, which was both fabulously daring and incredibly chic.
Now, shade 178 New Prodigious is probably at the opposite end of the daring spectrum but, let me tell you, it’s just as chic as its bold predecessor.
It’s a beautiful pinky nude with a touch of mauve that is nicely hydrating on the lips and so easy to apply. It’s just the perfect shade to throw in your handbag and pop out for casual mirror-less touch-ups throughout the day.
Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in 600 Rose Énergie ($28)

You know I love my Chanel nail polishes and this one makes no exception.
Rose Énergie is so easy to spread, even and opaque that it can totally be a one-coater – perfect for the busiest (or laziest) among us.
The color has some depth to it, which my camera failed to pick up, that makes me think I’ll be wearing this a lot in the upcoming fall months. (I so don’t want to think about the fall, though.)
Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour in 162 Énergique ($37)

…and I saved the best for last!
This beautiful pinky red is sooo flattering on the lips. It has a gorgeous second-skin effect that coats the lips with a deliciously beautifying velvet blanket. (Eh…?)
It goes matte in about 5-10 minutes (especially if you press your lips together), but isn’t one bit drying. On me it lasts about 4-5 hours and I can reapply it as many times I want without it going patchy or crusty.
I bloody love it, so if you buy one thing from this mini collection, I think the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink in 162 Énergique should be it.
And that’s a wrap! I’m going to take a glorious nap (I’m on vacay – YAY!) and hopefully dream pink dreams. 😉
