The Essie Gel Couture Nail Color in Bubbles Only ($11.50)
Bubbles Only!
You will most likely hear me utter this little phrase in the following two scenarios:
- At a bar to order wine, since my favorite types are usually sparkling. Franciacorta? Prosecco? Champagne? Yes, please! 😉
- If you asked me what my favorite fall 2016 nail polish is.
That’s right! If I had to choose just one nail polish to wear throughout the fall, it would definitely be the Essie Gel Couture Nail Color in Bubbles Only, a gorgeous deep red with a hint of brown – the ultimate automnal shade, if you ask me.
The Essie Gel Couture Nail Color in Bubbles Only on my nails
A watercolor by my friend Lara. That big red leaf totally reminds me of Essie Bubbles Only!
According to Essie, the Gel Couture nail polishes are supposed to last up to 14 days when used in combination with the Gel Couture Top Coat, which I don’t have, so I used my trusty Essence The Gel Nail Polish Top Coat, instead. When I took off Bubbles Only after wearing it for 8 days, it was still pretty much intact (the regular Essie nail polishes usually chip in 2/3 days on me).
Paint me impressed! 😉
The wide, domed brush of the Essie Gel Couture Nail Color allows me to paint a whole nail in just one swipe without touching my cuticles – which is awesome!
So, shade, performance, and brush – I really like everything about the Essie Gel Couture Nail Color in Bubbles Only, and can’t recommend it highly enough!
Have you tried any of the Essie Gel Couture nail polishes? How did you like them? And what’s your favorite nail color this fall?

October 20, 2016 at 12:39 pmIt’s a gorgeous shade indeed, so far I’ve really been into deep, almost black shades (the Grenat Irrévérent l’Oréal Oil Nail Varnish is my favourite at the moment)!

October 20, 2016 at 9:17 pmI have not yet tried any of the new polishes, simply because I don´t want to buy any new polishes at the moment. But I agree, the color is absolutely autumnal.
My favorite fall shade is probably a brownish red as well, but as I haven´t painted my nails in weeks I can´t think of one from the top of my head.

October 21, 2016 at 8:27 amI love when a nail polish has a wide brush, I do not understand why companies still make thin and narrow brushes! The colour is awesome, I love a nice dark red colour on my nails!

October 21, 2016 at 8:56 pmI’ve been really wanting to try these! I’ve heard a lot of good things and my favorite YouTubers rave about them. This colour is so pretty and totally fall. I think I might give in and pick a few up this weekend. I feel like they always get you with “lasts longer with OUR top coat.” Makes you have to spend more money, which sucks haha. Hope you have a great weekend lady, and enjoy Madrid!

October 22, 2016 at 8:09 amI have heard such wonderful things about Essie’s gel polishes, I’ve been dying to try them! This color is gorgeous for fall, though your nails look 100% more perfect than mine ever do when I attempt an at-home manicure.

October 23, 2016 at 4:25 amI’m a huge fan of this formula, it lasts for such a long time and I get loads of compliments on my nails when I use this topcoat! Yes to the deep red shade!!

October 23, 2016 at 8:06 pmThese nail polishes sound great and so long-lasting! There’s nothing worse than freshly painting your nails and they chip quickly after. That’s one of the reasons I went off painting my nails – they got ruined so damn easily lol! So I think I need to try this formula next! In the Fall time, I love to use deep blue and nude shades – I just can’t seem to shake the nude shades lol.
