Five beauty products I’m looking forward to using this fall season
A beautiful watercolor by my longtime friend Lara
Remember when I said that here in Bologna we were having exceptionally good weather for the beginning of October? Well, the good weather has gone and fall has undoubtedly come to my little corner of the planet…
So today I thought I’d put together a little edit of things I’m looking forward to using in the upcoming weeks in order to make the dull days seem a little less dull.
1. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask ($58)
If you’ve read the review I did on a mini-size of the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, you may remember that, even though I loved it, I wasn’t sure I’d get the full size because there was an ingredient (methyleugenol) I wasn’t so sure about. As you can see, I eventually did get it, and noticed that methyleugenol wasn’t in the ingredient list
We don’t really get pumpkin spice anything here in Italy, so the only way I have to get my pumpkin spice fix is to dig out my trusty Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask.
It smells delicious and gives you the brightest, smoothest complexion in just a matter of minutes. If you like to get instant gratification from your skincare, this is definitely the product for you!
2. MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Oh, Lady ($21)
If you want to see the stunning MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Oh, Lady in action, check out my full review!
There are dozens of lipsticks I like for the fall, but I’ve decided to pick the MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Oh, Lady because it’s a pretty unique shade in my collection. It’s a gorgeous purple berry that I can’t wait to pair with the beautiful warm tones in the…
3. Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette ($25.50)
I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again: the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette is completely amazing.
The shadows are super buttery, very easy to blend, and extremely long-lasting. I don’t think you can find anything better at this price point. If you don’t believe me, check out these beautiful swatches!
4. Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita Luxury Palette ($52)
Another little palette I absolutely ADORE for the fall is the The Dolce Vita by Charlotte Tilbury. That rusty shadow is all kinds of awesome and the glittery top coat is so fine that it gives an almost wet look to the shadows you’ve applied underneath. Check out my full review to see it in action!
5. KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow in 03 Mat Light Mahogany ($14)
Here you may see how the KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow in 03 Mat Light Mahogany looks on my eyes
For days when I don’t have time to play with five different shadows, the KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow in 03 Mat Light Mahogany is a real lifesaver. It’s a marsala color that doesn’t look like much when you swatch it, but it makes my hazel eyes look so much brighter.
I apply it all over the mobile lid and along the lower lashline, and then blend the edges with a fluffy brush. Since it has quite a lot of pink to it, unless it’s Halloween I usually like to put some brown liner on the waterline to avoid the not so pretty “eye infection look”.
What are some of your favorite beauty products to use in the fall?
P.S. I hope you enjoyed this little break from my lipstick reviews, because, ahem, I have more coming soon! 😉
