My Fall Fab Five, AKA How to Make Fall a Little Less Dull

Five  beauty products I’m looking forward to using this fall season

Fall Autumn WatercolorA beautiful watercolor by my longtime friend Lara

Remember when I said that here in Bologna we were having exceptionally good weather for the beginning of October? Well, the good weather has gone and fall has undoubtedly come to my little corner of the planet…

So today I thought I’d put together a little edit of things I’m looking forward to using in the upcoming weeks in order to make the dull days seem a little less dull.

Enjoy! 😉

1. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask ($58)

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme MaskIf you’ve read the review I did on a mini-size of the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, you may remember that, even though I loved it, I wasn’t sure I’d get the full size because there was an ingredient (methyleugenol) I wasn’t so sure about. As you can see, I eventually did get it, and noticed that methyleugenol wasn’t in the ingredient list

We don’t really get pumpkin spice anything here in Italy, so the only way I have to get my pumpkin spice fix is to dig out my trusty Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask.

It smells delicious and gives you the brightest, smoothest complexion in just a matter of minutes. If you like to get instant gratification from your skincare, this is definitely the product for you!

2. MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Oh, Lady ($21)

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor Oh, LadyIf you want to see the stunning MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Oh, Lady in action, check out my full review!

There are dozens of lipsticks I like for the fall, but I’ve decided to pick the MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Oh, Lady because it’s a pretty unique shade in my collection. It’s a gorgeous purple berry that I can’t wait to pair with the beautiful warm tones in the…

3. Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette ($25.50)

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow PaletteI’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again: the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette is completely amazing.

The shadows are super buttery, very easy to blend, and extremely long-lasting. I don’t think you can find anything better at this price point. If you don’t believe me, check out these beautiful swatches!

4. Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita Luxury Palette ($52)

Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita PaletteAnother little palette I absolutely ADORE for the fall is the The Dolce Vita by Charlotte Tilbury. That rusty shadow is all kinds of awesome and the glittery top coat is so fine that it gives an almost wet look to the shadows you’ve applied underneath. Check out my full review to see it in action!

5. KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow in 03 Mat Light Mahogany ($14)

KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow 03 Mat Light MahoganyHere you may see how the KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow in 03 Mat Light Mahogany looks on my eyes

For days when I don’t have time to play with five different shadows, the KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow in 03 Mat Light Mahogany is a real lifesaver. It’s a marsala color that doesn’t look like much when you swatch it, but it makes my hazel eyes look so much brighter.

I apply it all over the mobile lid and along the lower lashline, and then blend the edges with a fluffy brush. Since it has quite a lot of pink to it, unless it’s Halloween I usually like to put some brown liner on the waterline to avoid the not so pretty “eye infection look”.

What are some of your favorite beauty products to use in the fall?

P.S. I hope you enjoyed this little break from my lipstick reviews, because, ahem, I have more coming soon! 😉

I picked up a sample size of the Peter Thomas Roth mask when I was in France, and I cant wait to dig it out. I just wanted to give the TBS ones I had bought only a few weeks before (ahem) a proper test before I opened them.

These are so perfect for Autumn, Carol! I have been loving Master Palette by ABHxMario which is the perfect deep, rustic Autumn shades. On the lips I have been wearing Kate Rimmel 107 non stop, it’s so stunning.

I don’t get the pumpkin spice craze either and thankfully you can’t find it where I live too (I don’t like pumpkin lol). I am loving that gorgeous MAC liquid lipstick. That colour is sensational.

I’m sorry to hear that Summer has completely disappeared for you, I know the feeling lol! But I’ve been loving using masks lately, as my skin seems to be dull like this season. So the Peter Thomas Roth Mask sounds amazing, I’ll have to search for that here in the UK. Oh and the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette is absolutely STUNNING. Every time I go to Selfridges, I have such a hard time walking away from it. But now Autumn is here, the colours are too perfect to ignore!!:D

The Dolce Vita Palette by Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favourites too, it’s so beautiful and the warm colours are perfect for Autumn and Winter too.

The Kiko cream eyeshadow looks stunning, I will have to pick up some products when I’m next in London.
