🎶 Spring is in the air, everywhere I look around… 🎶
The sun is shining outside my window, there are thousands of daisies in the lawn, and about 10 different bronzers in my makeup bag.
My latest acquisition is the Guerlain Terracotta Ultra Matte Bronzing Powder, the new collector’s item in the Terracotta range.
It is housed in a white and gold reusable case, reminiscent of the makeup tins of the past. It’s probably not the most travel-friendly packaging ever created, but it’ll look uniquely pretty on your vanity.
Despite being matte, this bronzer is really easy to blend and not powdery at all – I’m incredibly impressed with how well it fuses with the skin! Plus, it has a very unique, expensive-looking finish that somehow manages to reflect the light even if there isn’t a single sparkle in sight.
Today I’ve applied the Guerlain Terracotta Ultra Matte Bronzing Powder all over my face, focusing on the areas that would naturally tan first. On the eyes I’ve used the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette and on the lips I’m wearing the Lancôme Matte Shaker in 378 Pink Power
Swatches of the Guerlain Terracotta Ultra Matte Bronzing Powder: blended (L) and heavy (R). I’m sorry the blended swatch doesn’t really make this bronzer justice. It looks almost like a bruise here, but in real life the powder gives beautiful, believable warmth to the skin
Unfortunately, the Guerlain Terracotta Ultra Matte Bronzing Powder comes in only one warm-toned, medium-dark shade.
If you’re very fair, steer clear.
If you’re cool-toned, don’t even look at it.
But if you have a medium skin tone, the Guerlain Terracotta Ultra Matte Bronzing Powder will make you look and feel as though you’ve just spent a weekend on the French Riviera.
Not bad, huh? 😉
