You may have noticed that, now it’s winter (well, technically, it’s still fall for a couple more days), I’m pretty damn pale. Unfortunately, though, I’m not the Dita Von Teese, beautiful type of pale. I’m more of the ‘Are you sure you’re feeling OK?’ type of pale – that is, sallow and sick-looking. VERY NICE, I know. Luckily, makeup is my best friend and comes to my rescue with its amazing concoctions, thus preventing any unnecessary worries concerning my perfectly good health (*touches wood*).
I find that a bit of bronzer works wonders at instantly making me look healthier and radiant. My favorite type are the sheerer ones, like my beloved Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder, Guerlain Joli Teint Powder Duo or Dior Nude Air Tan Powder. Being practically impossible to overdo, these powders are ideal for those with lighter complexions, who might worry about traditional, more pigmented bronzers looking too harsh and artificial.
The new Flawless Fusion Bronzer from KIKO is a very nice addition to the ‘healthy glow powder’ category. It is sheer enough to always look natural, but also buildable, so that it is actually visible on the skin. It comes in 6 shades and, as with all sheer bronzers, I recommend choosing a darker shade than you normally would, otherwise it probably won’t really show up on your skin. I got shade 03 Cinnamon, which is still quite light, as you can see in the swatches. It blends effortlessly and wear-time is pretty good: on my oily face it lasts about 6 hours, but if you have normal to dry skin it is most likely going to last way longer on you.
The Flawless Fusion Bronzer doesn’t disappoint in the packaging department, either. It is housed in a super pretty gunmetal case that, even though it’s plastic, feels sturdy enough to survive numerous trips inside my handbag and has that clever magnetic closure I always very much appreciate.
Do you guys use bronzer? Do you prefer the more pigmented type or the sheerer ones like KIKO Flawless Fusion?

December 19, 2015 at 5:18 pmBronzer is a must have for me after moving to Canada, had no need of it back when I was living in Malaysia but I look like death during winter here. I love Essence Sun Club Matte bronzer and Pixi Beauty Bronzer too, I want to try Kiko but for now I have to wait until they decide to ship to Canada. 🙁

December 19, 2015 at 11:07 pmI have the Hoola Benefit Bronzer which I really like as it’s very buildable, so I think this would be a good one for me to try out as well. And I agree, I love the packaging; it looks pretty luxurious too!

December 20, 2015 at 4:07 pmI definitely still use bronzers in the Winter Carol! I am pale as it is, so I need that extra bit of bronze in my life haha. I definitely prefer the sheerer ones, so it doesn’t look too much. My favourites are the moment is the Bobbi Brown matte bronzer and one from the ABH light to medium contour palette.

December 20, 2015 at 4:36 pmNice picks! I’d love to try the one from Kiko, they have such amazing products.
I have no idea why, but I’m using a lot less bronzer in the cold season, I just enjoy my sort-of-pale color more.
But in the summer, I am addicted to my bronzing powder, can’t live without it. Hmm, weird, huh?
Kisses,

December 20, 2015 at 7:58 pmI haven’t really given sheer bronzers a go before but maybe that’s where I’ve been going wrong! This sounds great and I like the fact it’s available in 6 shades so you can pick the one that works the best for you 🙂

December 20, 2015 at 11:19 pmWhat a beautiful compact! I need to give it a try, I don’t own a single matte bronzer I’m happy with (I have a few from Physician’s Formula but they’re really too sheer).

December 21, 2015 at 5:51 pmNever tried this brand before but looks nice. Even though I’m a natural tan, I hate bronzers that are too dark. They look so unreal on my skin. And I also hate bronzers with shimmer.

December 21, 2015 at 6:57 pmKiko has just launched this collection in Spain and I’m really excited! I bought one of their High Pigmented new shadows but I haven’t tried any of the face powders (I will for sure, they look amazing).
I love bronzer and I prefer something sheer but still buildable than something really pigmented that ends up looking patchy.
I hope you have a great day, Carol! xx

May 4, 2016 at 10:15 pmMy favourite bronzer is from Kiko, the soft focus compact in 100! But I think they discontinued it (there is no longer at the website I don’t know about the actuall store). It is perfect and lasts literally ALL DAY LONG! If you can get it I truly recomend it! If you are intrested about more Kiko products check my blog!
