KIKO Midnight Siren: First Impressions + Swatches

Today, while I’m on my way to Andalusia, I leave you to a short and sweet first impression post.

Yesterday, I went to a KIKO store to check out their brand new Midnight Siren collection, which features dark, shimmery hues on the eyes, matte lips and glistening skin. I picked up the Moon Shadow in 03 Attractive Plum and the Matte Muse Lipstick in 05 Haughty Mauve.

Moon Shadows are water infused eyeshadow sticks with a cooling effect (similar to Chanel ones). Attractive Plum is a darkened purple with magenta shimmer that I like a lot more on the lids than swatched, as it sheers out really nicely. I see myself using this one very often in the fall for quick and easy evening looks.

Matte Muse is a liquid lipstick that dries down to a full matte finish. It’s long-lasting (it was still perfectly intact after I snacked on a Magnum ice cream bar!), but comfortable to wear, so definitely my kind of lipstick. Haughty Mauve looks more like a purply raspberry pink than mauve to me. I was very attracted to the orangey-red in the collection, but decided to go for something a little different than usual and I’m glad I did.

Have you already spotted this collection? Did you see anything you liked?

I am not really sure about the eye shadow stick however that lipstick is gorgeous and looks really great on you. Perfect shade for upcoming seasons!

It seems to look really nice & matte on the lips – I have been looking for a review for this specific lipstick and I’m so glad I found yours. There’s no real shop where I live and I was planning on ordering a bunch of lipsticks from KIKO. Have you also tried the Long Lasting Colour Lip Marker?

I’m glad you found my post helpful 🙂 I haven’t tried that one, I stay away from that kind of lipsticks because they’re usually very drying. I’ve tried the Velvet Matte Lipsticks and really like them, they have more of a satin finish than fully matte, though.
