Show a Little Lovin’… May 2016

Sorry for the poor quality photo, but I had to take it with my phone. I left my camera battery and charger at my father-in-law’s, 2/3 hours away… §*#/£%^&$@!!! I’ll insert links to past posts where you can find better pictures and swatches.

If you’re not familiar with the Show a Little Lovin’ series, here you may read what it is and why I came up with it. Basically, at the beginning of each month, I go through my makeup stash to select a bunch of products I haven’t been loving as much as they deserve, to use as often as possible for the following 30 days.

Here’s May selection!

YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats in 208 Fuchsia Fetiche

YSL just recently expanded the Rouge Pur Couture The Mats range with new shades, and it was about time! These lipsticks have one of the best formulas I’ve ever tried, which is matte and very long-lasting, yet luxurious and comfortable on the lips. 208 Fuchsia Fetiche, one of the original shades, is a very bright raspberry fuchsia that you can see in action in the review I did last summer.

DEBORAH Milano 24ORE Color Mat Eyeliner in 09 Lavender & 10 Bamboo

I got the 24ORE Color Mat Eyeliners in 09 Lavender and 10 Bamboo a couple of months ago for a post on DEBORAH Milano I did on Makeup and Beauty Blog (feel free to check it out if you want to see the liners in action). They’re fun, original, and long-lasting on the lids, so I want to use them as much as I can before they dry out.

CLINIQUE Chubby Stick Intense in 04 Heftiest Hibiscus

Another beautiful lipstick that I love to wear in the spring and summer! The Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in 04 Heftiest Hibiscus has an impressive formula that is both long-lasting and hydrating. The shade is a pretty orange with a hint of pink, so I think it would be a good option for those who don’t like the usual yellow-based oranges (which I personally love).

I’ll post a picture of me wearing it on Instagram in the next few days, so make sure you’re following me! 😉

NEVE Cosmetics Blush Garden in Tuesday Rose

First of all, how cute is the rose design on the bottom of the NEVE Cosmetics Blush Garden in Tuesday Rose?! (Here you may find better pictures and swatches). Second of all, the cream formula is easy to blend and incredibly long-lasting, and I’m sure I’ll be using it tons in the next few months, as I tend to prefer creams over powders in the warmer seasons.

Have you rediscovered any great products recently?

Lovely picks! I didn’t know the Rouge Pur Couture The mat was such a great formula, I’ve never tried them but, from what I saw on Instagram, I quite love the new shades they just released, I need to have a little swatch next time I visit their counter!

I have shades 201 and 208 and love them both equally! I always wondered why YSL hadn’t developed and advertised the range much, and now they finally have.

I just yesterday picked my stuff for the upcoming seasonal challenge for summer and added the Heftiest Hibiscus to the mix. Such a beautiful color, and yet I haven’t even worn it once since I got it.
And well, one reason to visit the in-laws again soon.

Haha, well, they’re actually shipping them back to me. And I’m also waiting for an Amazon delivery today… I should have gotten a spare battery anyway.

Great post. Seriously that Rose design is so cute. The deborah liners look good, wish I can find it here somewhere.
I rediscovered a Khol/Kajal recently, I loved it and suddenly stopped using it.

These are a great selection of products and I should really sit down and pick up a couple of stuff that needs more loving too. I have the tendency to use only drugstore products for my daily makeup and ignore my high ends. It’s almost like I’m so afraid to use them because I don’t want them to run out. Stupid, I know.

Thanks to Amazon Prime, you’re safe now 😉 Even though you took the photo with your phone, quality is really good! When I get obsessed with a product, I can’t seem to stop using it until I get bored of it and never use it again. Fuchsia fetiche looks fab on you, bright colours are definitely your colours!

Wow, the 24ORE Color Mat Eyeliner in Lavender looks absolutely stunning! I would love to wear this for a Spring time make-up look. It seems so subtle, but like it would make-up a fashionable statement as well. I have recently discovered lip glosses. I used to wear them all the time, but then the liquid lipstick craze overtook my life lol. So now I’ve been trying to wear as much of my M.A.C lip glosses as possible.:)

What an adorable blush! One of the products I’ve dug out of my stash lately is the discontinued Crème de Blush by YSL in a peachy shade. It’s so pretty, and I adored the formula. I can’t understand why they discontinued it 🙁
