Last weekend, here in Europe we moved our clocks one hour forward so that we can now benefit from an extra hour of light in the evening.
LOVE.
IT.
One of the main reasons I hate winter is that it gets dark so damn early, which just makes me want to hibernate.
But now I have so much more energy and just feel generally happier. When I leave the office at 5 pm it doesn’t feel like the day is already over…
Ahhh, I love Daylight Saving Time, I love spring, and, of course, I love spring makeup!
Every year, as soon as leaves start growing back on trees, I develop a great appetite for bronzer. I mean, I use it throughout the winter to avoid resembling Uncle Fester, but in the spring I always get an itch to add a new one (or five!) to my collection.
This year, the (first) Chosen One is the Guerlain Terracotta Ultra Matte Bronzing Powder, which I’ve been loving over the past few weeks, even though I have to use fake tan in order to make it work on my otherwise very pale skin. Check out my full review for more details!
To match the warmth of the bronzer, on the eyes I’ve been pretty often using the ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Desert, a warm light brown with a beautiful satin finish. Its cream-to-powder formula is super quick and easy to apply and lasts all day. See it in action here!
I wear pretty natural base and brows throughout the year, but I feel like in the warmer months that’s pretty much mandatory! (I spend a lot more time outside and find that natural light is quite unforgiving on the amount of makeup I have on my face.) The most skin-looking concealer I’ve ever tried is definitely the Glossier Stretch Concealer, and if you want subtly groomed brows the Glossier Boy Brow is where it’s at.
These two products are included, together with the amazingly unique Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick, in the Glossier Phase 2 Set, which I spoke about here.
My last, but most definitely not least, favorite product of the month of March (and one of my favorite products of all time!) is the NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder. Like I said in my review, it’s the first powder I’ve ever tried that doesn’t make my under-eye area look all dry and crepey. If you use concealer under your eyes (if you don’t, you’re one lucky b1%&£ and I’m very jealous), you need this powder in your life!

April 1, 2017 at 4:54 pmGreat list of favourites and after reading your amazing review on the Guerlain Terracota bronzer, I added a couple more Guerlain products into my Sephora Love List which I hope to buy soon. I really need to try one of ColourPop eyeshadows, I love their lips products and eyeliners so I don’t know why I never bother with the Super Shock eyeshadows until now.

April 1, 2017 at 4:58 pmSo do I! I feel always better and recharged with this additional light hour 🙂 And same here: bronzers are a must have otherwise my face would look ill and pale, pale and ill.
At the moment I’m using Pupa Extreme Bronze 002 (001 is too orangey :/)
Have a great weekend and enjoy this sunny Saturday

April 1, 2017 at 7:27 pmGlad to hear I’m not the only one who likes the ColourPop Super Shock consistency! I probably already said in your Glossier post, but I really want to try both the Boy Brow and the Stretch Concealer! Great favourites 🙂

April 2, 2017 at 12:29 pmI love this time of the year too, the longer and warmer days, I mean, the sun goes down after 6 o’clock and it is amazing how much time I have after I finish work. I haven’t tried any eyeshadows from Colourpop and I know I must, I see them all the time in posts and everyone has a good word to say 🙂

April 2, 2017 at 8:32 pmGreat selection of products, I’ve tried a few and love them. Can you believe I’ve never tried the colorpop eye shadows though? I really have to one day

April 3, 2017 at 5:30 amI love when it’s 8 pm and the sun is still out, but I know I appreciated the standard time when I was in school because you got an hour back and more time to finish homework. You’re making me want the Guerlain bronzer, yet I just spend some $$ on the NARS Laguna liquid bronzer…I can’t wait to try it though! And I am dying to jump on the Glossier bandwagon!!

April 3, 2017 at 2:02 pmYes, Dayligh Saving is amazing! That paired with the warm weather we had over the last week is a blessing for me and the kids. We can spend so much more time outdoors after I come home from work.

April 4, 2017 at 11:53 amI really love the longer days, even after 8pm, it is still light outside, love it! I am slowly transforming my makeup to spring makeup, using more bronzer is one of the first things I started doing. Desert is a beautiful colour, when the sun shines on you, I’m sure it gives beautiful glow!

April 6, 2017 at 2:18 amWe switched to daylight saving time mid-March here and I was sooooo happy! It’s so depressing to leave work in the dark, I don’t want to do anything in the evening all winter long… Now I’m much more inclined to go for a run, to the gym, drop by the mall, or do anything else than just crash on the couch after work!

April 8, 2017 at 7:33 amI feel the same about Daylight Saving Time! I love the extra light during the evening too. It’s less depressing for sure. I can’t wait to get back to my walking routine. Just in time for those horseflies to start chasing me down lol!
Lovely list! I need some Guerlain in my life for sure! Their stuff is always so pretty!
