LE SIGH, 2015 (A.K.A. my last year as a 20-something) is really coming to an end. It seems like yesterday I got my first rollerball lip gloss and clear mascara… I can picture them as sharply as the Backstreet Boys telling me that as long as I loved them, they didn’t care who I was, where I was from or what I had done… And BOY, did I love ’em!!!
Errrm… Before I go all sappy and start revealing too many details of my early teenage years, let’s move on to the best products I’ve discovered (or rediscovered) over the past month.
PUPA Vamp! Mascara – 100 Extra Black
PUPA Vamp! Mascara is DA BOMB, I absolutely LOVE it! If you’re familiar with Too Faced Better Than Sex, this mascara is very similar to it (but way more affordable!): same hourglass wand, same dramatic effect. Its formula is on the drier, thicker side, which makes it EXTREMELY volumizing, but also lengthening and curling. PUPA Milano is an Italian brand that I’m sure is available in other countries as well, but I don’t exactly know which ones. Should you ever come across it, give VAMP! a go. If you like volumizing mascaras, this one will hardly disappoint.
This mask smells like freshly brewed coffee with a hint of vanilla and cocoa… delicious! If you’re a coffee lover, you should really give it a try. The ground coffee it contains gently exfoliates the skin, leaving it radiant and awake. Click here for a more in-depth review.
KIKO Flawless Fusion Bronzer – 03 Cinnamon
KIKO’s new bronzer is a very pretty product to look at, both when it’s sitting on your vanity table and when it’s sitting on your skin. Well, actually, it doesn’t ‘sit’ on your skin! It’s so sheer and finely milled that it just makes you look naturally glowy. Read my full review for more details.
Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint – Fiery
I’ve been using several red lipsticks I love throughout the month and it was hard to only choose one. Even though it is the least long-lasting of the bunch, I picked this one from Tarte because I adore its color and texture. I find its slightly deeper shade of red very elegant and its AMAZING texture, very smooth and almost gel-like, a pleasure to apply. I think it’s important to note that, although it doesn’t remain intact if you eat or drink, it fades evenly (which to me is essential!) and, thanks to its crayon form and velvety texture, is very easy to touch up. Be also aware that it has a minty scent, which I can only smell upon application and personally don’t mind, but I’m sure some people won’t like it.
Zoeva 231 has become my go-to brush to apply and blend shadows on the lower lash line, because, unlike most brushes, it doesn’t make my eyes water. It’s soft, washes well and doesn’t shed. AND it’s affordable! I highly recommend it.
What have you guys been loving this month? Thank you for stopping by, I wish you an amazing start to your 2016! See you on the other side! 😉
