KIKO Rebel Romantic Intensely Lavish Lip Pencil 04 Mild Sangria Review SwatchKIKO Rebel Romantic Intensely Lavish Lip Pencil 03 Luscious Red Review Swatch

Rebel Romantic is KIKO’s limited edition collection for Fall 2015 (alongside Midnight Siren). After being very impressed with the quality of the eye products I reviewed a couple of months ago (you can find the post here), I decided to give the lip liners a go as well.

At €/£ 4.90, the Intensely Lavish Lip Pencils are super affordable, very creamy, long-lasting and non-drying. Pretty much anything you could want in a lip liner! There are six shades in the range and the ones you can see pictured above are:

  • 06 Melodious Wine: a dark burgundy.
  • 04 Mild Sangria: a berry rose.
  • 03 Luscious Red: a neutral red.

KIKO Rebel Romantic Intensely Lavish Lip Pencils 06 04 03 Review SwatchesIf you like a completely matte finish, these are creamy and even enough to be worn on their own, provided your lips are in tip-top shape (check out my lip care routine to find out how to have smooth lips all day every day). Out of the three I have, 03 is the easiest to work with, while 06 is probably the driest and less even one, which is perfectly normal, as darker shades are (almost) always harder to use.

Despite being so creamy, these pencils last forever: once they’re dry, they don’t budge until you take them off. They don’t smudge or get on your teeth, which makes them a very foolproof bold lip option.

If you’re in the market for a new lip liner I highly recommend these ones. KIKO’s collections always go on sale at the end of the season, so they’re going to be even more of a bargain in about a month.

Have you tried these or any other products from the Rebel Romantic collection? Do you ever wear lip liner on its own?

I’m a huge fan of the last shade you posted. A natural red is always a good choice (:

They look amazing! Sangria is really a beautiful shade. I don’t wear lip pencils on their own because I have severely dry lips so it’s not a good idea for me. I can get perfect lips pre-applications with good care but they always dry out during the day!

I like them all, but Sangria is probably the most unique. That’s too bad about your lips, when mine are dry it really bothers me!

These are gorgeous! Berry rose and burgundy are my favourites, you picked up really nice shades 🙂 I ordered 05 awhile ago and it hasn’t arrived yet *sigh*, good to know that they are creamy and long lasting! I can’t wait to get my hands on them! x

[…] This is one of the lipsticks from their Fall 2015 Rebel Romantic collection, which happens to be my favorite one of all time. It’s still available and currently on sale in several countries, so don’t miss the last chance to get your hands on some beautifully packaged, high quality makeup at a very low price! I have to admit that I’ve purchased the Intensely Lavish Lipstick mainly because of the super pretty, rose gold packaging. If you’re not new to this blog, you’ll probably know that I mostly use matte finishes, but I’m forcing myself to reach for this creamy option because it’s undoubtedly a great one. I really like its berry rose color, which works amazingly well if you’re going for one of those day-to-night looks. Longevity is good for a non-matte lipstick and can be extended by using the coordinating liner (you can read my rave review here). […]
