3 Fantastic Finds to Deal with Common Hair or Skin Issues, Vol. 2

Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion, BIODERMA Hydrabio Moisturizing Anti-UV Mist SPF 30, Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Conditioner (travel size)

The Fantastic Finds series features products that are meant to help prevent, or fight, those little beauty annoyances that sooner or later occur to most of us. You know, like, pesky zits, cracked lips, sun spots, straw-like hair… The list is endless.

What’s even more annoying than these annoyances themselves is the fact that the chances of them occurring are usually directly proportional to the importance of what we have planned for the day.

It’s an unwritten cosmic law.

But recently, I’ve found three products so effective they defy the cosmic laws and universal order of things, and today I’m here to share them with you.

Straw-like Hair: Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Conditioner ($32 full size, 9$ travel size)

Well, I actually don’t have dry hair, but whenever I use the Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Conditioner I can really notice a difference in how soft and nourished my hair feels.

Only drawback? The price, obviously! But if you don’t mind spending a little more on your haircare, I think the Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Conditioner is completely worth checking out.

Oh, and just like all Alterna products, this conditioner is free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and synthetic color.

Blemish-Prone Skin: Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion ($14)

This alcohol-free toner from Clinique has been around forever, but I’ve only started using it a couple of weeks ago, and let me tell you that I’m already in love with it!

Although it contains salicylic acid, a chemical exfoliant that helps prevent breakouts, I honestly think that the Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion would be a great toning option for most skin types and conditions. If you’re looking for a gentle, alcohol-free toner, this is it right here!

Sun Damage: BIODERMA Hydrabio Moisturizing Anti-UV Mist SPF 30 (£9)

OK, the BIODERMA Hydrabio Moisturizing Anti-UV Mist SPF 30 is a GENIUS product! You probably have already heard of it since it launched last year in some countries (it has just been released here in Italy, though), but if you haven’t, here is what you need to know!

It’s a super fine facial mist with SPF 30 that you can spritz on your face throughout the day, even on top of makeup, to make sure your skin stays hydrated and protected from the sun.

It’s meant to be used on the go, so it comes in a very convenient 50 ml size that is perfect to just pop into your handbag and use whenever you need to.

Have you ever used any of these? And do you know of any cosmic-law-defying beauty products?

Thank you for mentioning the Clinique mild clarifying lotion, I’ve always wanted to try it, but, since nobody ever talks about it, I wasn’t sure my sensitive skin could handle it! I believe I will still try a sample first, just in case, but it sounds promising!

I bought the Bioderma one last year in France and I love it. Not so much the feeling, it is a little sticky and not absolutely weightless, but the convenience. It is the only product that had me really consistently reapply my spf throughout the day.

I really want to try some of Alterna products, but like you mentioned- the price! homg I might need to find the Bioderma Hydrabio mist, I’ve tried the cream and it’s great and a sunscreen mist sounds so efficient!

Oooo, I’ll need to look for the Bioderma! I wear makeup early morning and I know by the time I go out for a walk with little tyke I need to reapply but I hate disturbing my makeup. Also the Clinique toner sounds absolutely lovely, that will be added into my list to purchase too.

Love the idea behind this post & how helpful it is. I need those 3 in my life as I seem to be hitting all the issues you listed, hon. Heard incredible things about Bioderma and your post confirmed it all for me. Thanks for recommendations! It’s always such a treat visiting your blog! I will browse around a little more 😉 And by “a little” I mean, I will stick around.

Thanks for reviewing these products. I’ve never tried any of them, but they’re on my list to try now! I especially like the Clinique brand and I’ve used several things from them so I will probably try that product first. Thanks for the great comprehensive overview!

I haven’t tried any of these products, but Bioderma is high up on my list! I’m always hearing rave reviews, it’s just not that easily available here in the UK. I’ve definitely been getting dry lips and that’s been one of those annoying ‘cosmic laws’ lol. But The Body Shops’ Lip Butter has completely sorted them out. I didn’t think that such an inexpensive product would work so amazing.:) – My Glowing Spring Make-up Look + GIVEAWAY

Great post, I love the look of the Caviar conditioner as my hair is really dry at the moment. Hope you are keeping well and having a great week so far!
