Even though I’ve been to California three times (one of which was a year-long stay) and taken numerous road trips while out there, I have to admit that I’ve never driven along the breathtakingly beautiful Big Sur coastline.
It’s something I definitely need to remedy sooner or later.
I can vividly see myself driving down the coast listening to Nightshift while the sun is dropping towards the horizon.
I can imagine the water glisten while the sky turns orange, and red, and finally a deep shade of blue…
The Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Intense Long-Wear Lip Colours in 64 First Light and 63 Nightfall from the Chanel Travel Diary Collection. These gorgeous lipsticks have a satin-matte finish and a weightless formula that you practically can’t feel on the lips
Wearing the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick in 64 First Light on my lips. For my eye makeup I used the Chanel Les 4 Ombres palette in 288 Road Movie on top of the Chanel Ombre Première cream shadow in 818 Urban

The Chanel Ombre Première Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in 818 Urban from the Chanel Travel Diary Collection. I either use it smudged along my top and bottom lashlines or as a base for the teal and blue shadows in the eye palette

Then, the next morning, I would stop to take in all the blues and greens and browns of where the ocean meets the land…
The Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in 288 Road Movie from the Chanel Travel Diary Collection. I love the color combo in this palette and the shadows are creamy to the touch and nicely pigmented

I would also love to witness the unexpected changes in nature’s color palette if a group of clouds decided to come into play.
The Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in 576 Horizon Line from the Chanel Travel Diary Collection. I feel like by now you should know how much I like this formula! 😉

And, finally, I’d keep driving till I reach the desert to admire its unique, stark beauty.
The Chanel Palette Essentielle in 150 Beige Clair from the Chanel Travel Diary Collection. This very visually pleasing face palette features a concealer, a cream blush and a cream highlighter. I like to use the concealer to cover imperfections, but I find it too drying to use in my (dry) under-eye area. The blush and highlighter are pretty subtle – which I love – and ideal for a natural dewy look

I love the Chanel Travel Diary Fall/Winter 2017 Collection.
Makeup that makes me dream is makeup at its best.

August 17, 2017 at 10:50 amYou might be surprised, but I am actually tempted by the quad. I know, I know, such a shock for a palette despiser like me, but the colors are oh so beautiful!

August 17, 2017 at 11:06 amI’ve lived in California for basically my whole life, and I’ve never been to Big Sur! The closest I have been was Monterey. I know it is stunning and I wanna drive by it too. Everything in this collection looks so gorgeous, I cannot pick a favorite!
