I’ve recently stumbled upon an interesting Elle.com gallery about Fall 2015 makeup trends. Same as every season, it’s not like we haven’t seen these trends before though, so I thought I would shop my stash to see which products I already own I could use to recreate them.
90’s LIPS: Dark plums and ripe berries are on my lips every single fall, no matter what the runway trends say. To add to those 90’s vibes that are coming at us from all directions, I’ll soon be rocking my Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip in shade 12C (see it in action in my post about dark lips) and my Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in shade 107.
BRONZE SHADOW: It seems like we won’t be ditching our bronzy shadows come fall this year. One I really like is Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in My Two Cents.
FLUSHED CHEEKS: After heavy contouring and over-the-top highlighting (a.k.a. strobing), blush is making a comeback. My favorite product to achieve that oh-so-pretty flushed from the cold look is Le Blush Crème de Chanel in 65 Affinité.
GRAPHIC LINER: Good ol’ black liner never goes out of style. The best one I’ve ever tried is Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, which definitely does what it says on the tin!
EASY SMOKY EYES: An easy smoky eye achieved by smudging only a black or brown pencil liner is one of my most worn looks, as it’s the quickest and simplest way to make my eyes magnetic and sexy. I use Maybelline Master Smoky Longwearing Shadow-Pencil in Smoky Black or Essence Gel Eye Pencil in 06 Cocoa Bean, depending on how intense I want it to look.
What’s your favorite trend among these? Do you already have what you need to recreate it?

September 12, 2015 at 3:03 pmI adore the flushed cheeks and the (bronze) smokey eyes. And black liner is a staple, but not as graphic as it is seen on the runway.

September 12, 2015 at 5:07 pmI love the look of the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow! I haven’t heard of these, but it looks so pigmented in the pot. I definitely won’t stop the Summery, bronzy look for Autumn and Winter – I love it too much.

September 12, 2015 at 10:23 pmAwesome post. I love the look of that Benefit eyeshadow, really must try some of their eyeshadows because they look stunning. Even though it is Spring in NZ, i feel like there is always a place for bronze eyeshadows

September 13, 2015 at 5:52 pmGreat minds think alike. I read the same article and today is the day of going through my stash and re-discovering my collection to fit in autumn trends 2015, even though there’s no surprise there. MAC Rebel is already at top of my vanity x

September 14, 2015 at 8:43 amIt’s an intense black that lasts until you take it off. I’ve had mine for about a year and it hasn’t dried out yet (which is often the case with this type of liners). I love it!
