The Givenchy Le Vernis Translucent Color Satiny Shine Nail Lacquer in 31 Purple Ink is part of the Point d’Encrage Spring 2017 Makeup Collection
For spring 2017, Givenchy has created a streamlined collection inspired by the translucency of watercolor and ink, featuring a highlighting gel, a blue liquid liner, a lavender-hued loose powder, a sheer pink lip oil, and a blue mascara top coat. AND…
…the product that most caught my attention: the Le Vernis Translucent Color Satiny Shine Nail Lacquer in 31 Purple Ink.
Today on my nails I’m wearing two coats of the new Givenchy Le Vernis Translucent Color Satiny Shine Nail Lacquer in 31 Purple Ink. I love the high-shine finish!
You can use this beautiful orchid purple lacquer as a top coat to enhance the look of any nail polish, you can wear one coat on its own for a sheer tint, or you can wear two coats to intensify the color but still retain a little translucency that keeps things interesting.
The Givenchy Le Vernis Translucent Color Satiny Shine Nail Lacquer in 31 Purple Ink has a wide, flat brush that makes application a breeze
When you apply it, the Givenchy Le Vernis in Purple Ink almost feels like jelly – a very liquid, easy-to-spread type of jelly. It definitely reminds me of the limited edition Nail Gloss in Rouge Radical Chanel launched with their 2016 Le Rouge Fall Collection, so if you liked that one (or if you’re still kicking yourself for not picking it up when it was available) I highly encourage you to check out Givenchy Purple Ink before it’s too late!
The Givenchy Le Vernis Translucent Color Satiny Shine Nail Lacquer in 31 Purple Ink (£17.50) is available now at escentual.com and houseoffraser.co.uk.

February 1, 2017 at 7:42 pmHi Carolina, this Givenchy nail polish is really awesome! It does… it really reminds of ink inside a tiny bottle!
Indeed I expected to see a dark colour and then… a translucent and elegant purple. at a first sight, it also reminds of O.P.I. Sheer Tints.
So chic and perfect with your skin colour!!!

February 1, 2017 at 9:10 pmThis nail paint from Givenchy is really beautiful. I love it is in a jelly form, which will be easier to apply! Nice review!

February 2, 2017 at 1:06 pmThis is so interesting. The colour is gorgeous although it’s sheer but it’s good that you can add more coats to make it bolder. I love that it has a jelly formula and I bet it is so easy to apply! 🙂

February 2, 2017 at 2:27 pmHave you tried it on top of another polish already? Does it alter the shade a lot or does it just enhance the finish?

February 3, 2017 at 9:37 pmI’ve only used it on its own so far, but I think It would make other shades pinker and glossier.

February 3, 2017 at 6:15 amUM I want to get this now! I love soft pink-purpley shades and this looks really easy and fuss free to wear due to its jellyness!

February 3, 2017 at 9:44 amI was actually going to say that it sort of reminds me of those jelly shoes that were all the rage in the 80’s. It doesn’t look how I’d imagine by looking at the bottle, but I like it. I’m also jealous of your nail swatches. They’re always so pretty!

February 3, 2017 at 2:40 pmSuch an odd little product (I remember the Chanel one as well) : I really like the two coats look yet I believe it will be gorgeous as a top coat as well! I definitely need to explore Givenchy a little bit more, whether it is their skincare or makeup range! Thank you for this post!

February 3, 2017 at 7:13 pmOkay, I wasn’t expecting that at all. It looks dark as ink in the bottle but so sheer and gorgeous on your nails. Wow!
