KIKO Brush Experts: Review & My Favorite Ways to Use Them

“Brush Experts” is KIKO’s brand new brush range

I’m sitting here staring at the blank page, wondering why on earth I decided to write a post about makeup brushes… I mean, I don’t really get overly excited about brushes (to me they’re merely a means to an end), and I usually tend to only talk about things that do get me excited, so that I can (hopefully) pass my excitement on to you.

But, since I’m here, I guess I’ll just take this as a writing exercise…

So without any further ado, I present you the new KIKO Brush Experts!

My beloved Lipstick Swatch-a-thon Mug from holds four brushes from the new KIKO Blush Experts range: the Face 10 Blush Brush, the Face 05 Round Foundation Brush, the Eyes 56 Round Blending Brush, and the Lips 80 Flat Lip Brush

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been using four of the 32 new brushes KIKO has recently released: the 05 Round Foundation Brush, the 10 Blush Brush, the 56 Round Blending Brush, and the 80 Flat Lip Brush.

Let’s have a closer look at each brush!

KIKO Brush Experts Face 05 Round Foundation Brush ($19/£14.90/€14.95)

The KIKO Face 05 Round Foundation Brush applies liquid foundation seamlessly and quickly. I use circular motions and get an almost airbrushed (but still very natural) look.

If you need a new foundation brush, this is definitely worth considering!

KIKO Brush Experts Face 10 Blush Brush ($15/£13.90/€13.95)

I think the KIKO Face 10 Blush Brush has the ideal shape (slanted and not too big) and bristle density (not too dense) to always apply the right amount of any powder product, exactly where you want it.

BUT – there’s a but: it sheds quite a bit, especially when you wash it.

KIKO Brush Experts Eyes 56 Round Blending Brush ($14/£10.90/€10.95)

The KIKO Eyes 56 Round Blending Brush does a pretty good job at blending out eyeshadow in the crease, and since it’s not particularly fluffy, it really comes in handy whenever I want to be quite precise.

KIKO Brush Experts Lips 80 Flat Lip Brush ($12/£10.90/€10.95)

Since I never use a lip brush to apply my lipstick, I’ve been using the KIKO Lips 80 Flat Lip Brush for pinpoint concealing and it works GREAT.

I usually take a bit of Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage or Catrice Camouflage Cream on the brush, place it on any blemishes or tiny dark spots, and then pat it in with my finger.

This to me is the best way to conceal everything that needs concealing while keeping my base light and fresh.

KIKO Brush Experts ReviewBIG BONUS: the Brush Experts have a semi-rounded handle design so they don’t roll off your vanity top!

The new KIKO Brush Experts are available now at and in store.

Have you tried any of these new brushes? And what’s your relationship with makeup brushes and tools in general? Are you a brush hoarder or do you like to keep your collection as streamlined as possible (and spend as little money as possible)?

They look all so fluffy!!! I haven’t bought a Kiko tool or brush yet…
Brushes? Mhhh I’d love to buy the craziest on the market but I try to keep my collection simple and, most of all, functional 😉

You surprised me! I love my brushes and I love shopping them. 😀
I’ve never thought about KIKO brushes, but they look very nice in the pictures. When I have a chance I will look at them personally.

I need a new makeup brush as much as I need another pair of legs. LOL! I am addicted to buying brushes though but recently I am obsessed with Wayne Goss makeup brushes.

I could always use more brushes! Especially because if you haven’t cleaned one of them yet, you can use another in the meantime. I love the Sigma brushes.

Just like you said: They don’t get me excited. I mean, I have favorite brands and such, but really rave about a brush? I’ll save that for lipsticks.

Haha I laughed when you said that brushes don’t really excite you! I’m the complete opposite, I kind of get a bit too obsessed lol. So this post was right up my street. I’ve never tried any brushes from KIKO, but I love there make-up – so I’ll have to check them out. The round foundation brush looks super soft and I really like flat top brushes for my base products.xx – Matte Brown Smoky Eye Tutorial

I agree with you, brushes are not overly exciting. Although I just got some Inglot brushes from my mom from Poland for Christmas and some of them are really amazing. I usually stick to medium shelf makeup brushes, I would rather get some makeup than a makeup brush!

I have too many brushes since I always purchase ‘one more’ but I really need a new foundation brush and this one from Kiko sounds lovely and at a great price. I will check these out asap, I ordered from Kiko before and I am very pleased with what I received! x

It’s not easy to write a makeup brushes review but you did great, lovely 🙂 They all sound really good & I love how you added the elements to let us know how you personally use them and with what products. Well done!! Definitely not needing new brushes but always swooning over nice ones 🙂

Brushes excite me sometimes. I hate them when it comes time to wash them. Lol. These look nice though! They look so soft as well.

The round foundation brush looks really good. I need to give Kiko brushes a try soon.
