How do you like your complexion? I’m pretty sure that no one likes it shiny, some like it dewy, but all like it radiant. It’s those little nuances that make all the difference, you know… I, for one, having oily skin, would give up half my makeup collection if some sort of genie of the lamp could make my face shine-free for the rest of my days and give me that beautiful lit-from-within, radiant glow. But before risking my beloved stash, I thought I’d give KIKO’s Radiant Fusion Baked Powder a go. The name sounds promising, don’t you think?
The Radiant Fusion Baked Powder is one of KIKO’s fairly recent Perfecting Powders, which also include the Flawless Fusion Bronzer I reviewed a while ago. If you’ve read that post, then you’ll know that I really like the gunmetal packaging this range has. It feels very sturdy despite being plastic, and the magnetic closure adds a nice, luxe touch.
Inside the compact is a powder that at first glance reminded me of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting ones. Although I’ve never tried those, I’ve heard many people say they give the prettiest ethereal glow to the skin. Well, frankly, KIKO’s Radiant Fusion doesn’t do that. But what it actually does, it does really well.
I have the shade 02 Sand, which looks very light when heavily swatched but translates darker to the skin.
It sets your makeup without looking cakey or emphasizing fine lines and protects the skin with Argan Oil and Vitamin E. If you have normal to dry skin and are searching for a budget-friendly, non-powdery powder I think Radiant Fusion could really be the perfect product for you.
What are your favorite products for a lit-from-within glow? And do you happen to know a genie in a bottle? Looks like I might be needing one…

February 20, 2016 at 11:08 pmThe packaging does look really beautiful! The Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders have visible shimmer, so I don’t think they’re really similar. I personally didn’t like them anyway! They didn’t do much for me and looked powdery on my skin.

February 21, 2016 at 12:11 amI haven’t tried anything from Kiko yet but I really want too, their packaging looks so luxurious! I don’t actually wear a foundation on the day to day basis but I always wear a powder just so I don’t look too shiny!

February 21, 2016 at 12:48 amGood review, very informative. I would like to give it a try, I have oily skin too, and I would want a radiant glow, not a greasy one.

February 21, 2016 at 4:53 amIt’s great to hear that it has properties for your skin! I’ve seen the Hourglass highlighters, but I don’t have it…I’ve just heard great things about it and glad to know that this is somewhat of a dupe! My favorite highlighter is BECCA Champagne Pop. It is perfect for my skin!

February 21, 2016 at 9:07 amI haven’t tried hourglass’ powders yet – mostly because of the price point and I would totally go for the kiko one! It sounds like it does a good job; I DO want a powder to give me that ‘natural glow’ – I keep my makeup very minimal at work!

February 21, 2016 at 11:21 amThe entire Kiko makeup range sounds amazing. Another Kiko product I am adding to my shopping list.

February 21, 2016 at 12:23 pmI wish there was a way of having shine free face without doing anything… I yet haven’t found a product that will keep my skin shine free for a whole day so I am still looking! So wouldn’t it be suitable for oily skin?

February 21, 2016 at 9:51 pmYou can still use it on oily skin but it doesn’t control oil as well as other powders. I think I’ll keep using it mainly to set my under-eye concealer, because I’m drier there. In the same range there’s an other powder specially designed to suit oily skin, you may want to check that one out instead.

February 21, 2016 at 12:45 pmSorry, no genie in a bottle among my friends sadly, or I´d point her your way. And I don’t really have any recommendations for lit-from-within other than the MaxFactor Cream Puff blush, as I tend to go for velvet/semi-matte on my face.

February 22, 2016 at 11:24 amI have heard such amazing things about the Kiko products, but have yet to try one! <3 This powder seems great although I'm not sure whether it would be good for me, as I have very oily & acne prone skin. x

February 22, 2016 at 6:46 pmI have Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Dim Light and it took me a while to appreciate it. For a long time I didn’t noticed any differences it gave but once I did, it was true love. Would be interesting to get my hands on this powder from Kiko and check out the differences.

February 22, 2016 at 8:20 pmEthereal glow? I like the sound of that! For make-up setting purposes this sounds great, though I’m disappointed for you that the product didn’t do exactly what you’d hoped. I love your photos by the way, so crisp and clear 🙂

February 22, 2016 at 9:06 pmI wish I could find something to reduce shine. My skin is very dry, but also sensitive. So most powders make me break out. This sounds like a great product, especially with the Argan oil and vitamin e.

February 22, 2016 at 10:34 pmI love that you love Kiko products haha, you’ve actually got me into the brand, the lipstick range is lovely. Although, I haven’t really picked up anything else bar the universal foundation. I loved reading this post Carol, I always love your review style posts, its just a shame it didn’t do much but the packaging is stunning ♥

February 23, 2016 at 12:56 pmI would love to try this Carol! I really like Kiko on the whole, but I’ve only tried their eye products. I love that it has Argan Oil in it especially, I’ve never heard of make-up that does – I love it for my hair, so why not on my skin. Thank you for reviewing this, I’m definitely going to check it out, now that a Kiko store has opened in my local shopping centre.:)

February 11, 2017 at 9:19 pmIs #02 shade is dark? My skin tone is light-medium and I wonder which shade is suitable for me 🙁
Carol in a
February 11, 2017 at 9:34 pmHi Gracie! No, shade 02 is not dark, but it’s a little darker than it looks in the swatch. If you’re light-medium it might suit you, or maybe shade 03… It’s hard to tell exactly.
