Lipstick Lovin’: Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge in M500

Make Up For Ever recently revamped their Artist Rouge Lipsticks. M500, a stunning deep burgundy with a matte finish, is the one I picked out of 45 new shades

If I ever decided to set up a poker night at my place, I might not have enough chairs for everyone (#tinyapartmentstruggles), but chips would not be a problem: I have a feeling my lip product collection would be big enough to be a perfect replacement.

In case you haven’t noticed, lipsticks are without a doubt my favorite makeup products to wear and collect, and honestly a day doesn’t go by without me seeing a new one that I’d like to get. But for pretty obvious budget and space reasons (#tinyapartmentstruggles) most of the time I have to restrain myself from actually making a purchase.

Sometimes, though, my restraining efforts are unsuccessful, and other times they’re pretty much non-existent…

Yes, Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge in M500 ($22), I’m talking about you!

For some reason, I was never majorly attracted to the original Make Up For Ever Artist Rouges, but as soon as I saw pictures of the revamped version popping online, I decided that I wanted to try one.

Was it the super pointy bullet or the sleek black and silver packaging that made me enter my credit card details on the Sephora website?

I don’t really know, but what I do know is that I’m extremely happy with my purchase!

First of all, the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Mat in M500 is a real pleasure to apply: it glides effortlessly across the lips, and looks opaque and even in just one swipe, which is pretty impressive for such a deep shade. The pointy tip is not just visually pleasing, but also very useful for a precise application in the corners of the mouth.

Luckily, the pleasing experience doesn’t end after application, as the matte formula feels super comfy on the lips.

Wear-time is good, but this is definitely not the type of color you can just casually put on in the morning and expect to still be perfectly intact when you get home in the evening. Be prepared to touch it up at least a couple of times throughout the day if you want it to look flawless.

Anyways, if you’re looking for the ultimate vampy lipstick for the upcoming season, I highly recommend you check out the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Mat in M500, as I find it rather impressive. The obsession continues…

So, who’s down for a poker game? 😉

Have you tried any of the new Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick? Are you a fan? And what’s your most purchased type of makeup product?

I have a couple of shades that I planned to pick up soon. This shade wasn’t on my list to purchase but it’s now added after seeing how gorgeous it is on you!

If lipsticks are part of the game, I am all in. Though I cant vouch for my poker face with shades that pretty around. It will be perfect for the upcoming f-word you are shunning.

Such a gorgeous lipstick! Love that it keeps the warm tone even though it’s so dark, and so gorgeous to pair it with the eyeshadow! Xx

I’ve never tried any lipsticks from Make Up For Ever, but this one looks like such an amazing formula! As you said, the pointed tip is great for precise application. I think that’s so good, especially for the bolder colours, where it’s easier to make a mistake. I love lip products that are matte, but still comfortable to wear. That’s really made me want to check them out now. I’d say that my most purchased product at the moment is concealer. But the one that I’m always obsessed with is highlighter, like addicted haha. – Tips on How to Start a YouTube Channel – Cream Contour and Highlight Tutorial

I cannot say no to lipsticks either, I have too many to last me a lifetime, yet I keep purchasing more. I am looking forward to start purchasing dark shades for fall and this one is just perfect, I love it so much! And it looks lovely on you!
