October, huh… While I type this post, rain is pouring, the sky is colorless and I have to keep the light on even though it’s the middle of the day. NICE. Anyway, I’m not here to profess my profound loathing of the fall and winter once more, so let’s move on to the bits that have kept my moods up, despite the colder weather and shorter days.
This palette is amazing because: A. its color selection is spot-on (perfect for fall) and includes a nice balance of mattes and shimmers; B. the shadows are very good quality (there aren’t any real misses); C. it’s also affordable (€ 17.50 on Zoeva’s website)!
Collistar Pure Actives Hyaluronic Acid
I’ve already done a rave review on this serum earlier this month, so feel free to check it out. It provides my oily skin with the hydration it needs without all the other stuff it usually rejects. I love it more and more every day and it’s definitely reached holy grail status.
KIKO Rebel Romantic Intensely Lavish Lip Pencil – 04 Mild Sangria
This very fall-appropriate berry rose pencil is great to use on its own as it’s very creamy and non-drying. You can find out more and see lip swatches in the review I did a few weeks ago.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush – Exposed
I’m pretty sure most of you will know this. If you don’t, here’s what you need to know: it’s the most long-lasting powder blush I’ve ever tried. This particular shade (a plummy pink) is one of those you can’t really go wrong with: it looks super natural on the skin and pairs nicely with almost any look. HIGHLY recommended!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil – Mainline
This blue with a hint of teal is a color I absolutely adore and find ideal for brown eyes (you can see it swatched here). Plus, it’s matte, which is my favorite finish for pencil liners – and lipsticks. And foundations. And blushes. And bronzers. OK, I guess you get it. It really does glide on beautifully and has good longevity even in the waterline.
