Yes, I’m back from Stars Hollow.
I was there from Friday to Monday, and then again yesterday and today.
Which, for everyone who’s not inside my head, means that Friday through Monday I watched an episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life a day, and then watched them again over the past two days.
Yes, I needed to watch it all again right away. And that’s because I needed to understand how I felt about it – which I still don’t really know.
The only thing I know for sure is that now it really feels like I’m back from a trip – a much-anticipated one. A trip I didn’t want to end, and, now it’s over, I’m a little sad, but at the same time glad I had the opportunity to go.
You know the feeling, right?
Anyways, I don’t really want to discuss this any further, in case there’s someone out there who still hasn’t watched it, but intends to at some point… And you’re probably just here for my monthly favorites anyway, so let’s jump right into them, shall we?
This month I’ve tried sooo many new things I love – it was such a great month in that respect. But honestly, if you’re a regular reader, you’ll probably have already heard me blab about pretty much everything over the past few weeks, so let me just do a quick roundup.
Some of you will probably remember that I kicked off the month of November with my #LipstickWeek, where I talked about three different lip products that all managed to knock my socks off. If I were forced to only pick one out of the three, I think I’d go with the Clinique Pop Matte Lip Color + Primer in 06 Rose Pop (I did call it THE lipstick of the year, after all), but the Giorgio Armani Lip Magnet in 507 Garçonne and the Diego Dalla Palma Geisha Liquid Lipstick in 04 Kyoto Nights are also pretty amazing, so I think they deserve a mention here, too.
You may also remember that a couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Madrid, and while I was there I picked up the Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne, which, with its clean, salty notes, has easily become my all-time favorite fragrance.
Another “souvenir” I brought back from that trip is the breathtakingly beautiful Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder Eye Palette (courtesy of Mr. Page), one of my top three palettes of the month. The other two are the incredibly warm-toned Zoeva Caramel Melange and the unusually cool-toned Chanel Architectonic – completely different shades and price point, same level of beauty and quality.
So, that’s pretty much it – November’s over and Christmas is just around the corner.
Are you in the spirit yet?
Personally, I may still not have bought a single present, but I already know which eyeshadow I’m going to wear: the appropriately glistening WYCON Caviar Touch in 03 Gold Pearl.
Like my friend Anne would say: “#priorities”. 😉

November 30, 2016 at 6:04 pmI think Zoeva did such a great job with their palettes. The quality vs. price – unbelievable.
And yes, I understand you. I loved the new episodes, then I hated them and loved them again. I don’t know.. I’m planning to watch theme again. 😀

December 4, 2016 at 11:37 amHi Michelle!
At first I thought they should’ve developed some storylines further, but I’ve come to the conclusion that they did the best they could with the little time they had to film and the crazy schedules that had to take into account the actors’ previous engagements. AND I’m pretty sure there’ll be more episodes…

November 30, 2016 at 6:33 pmThat Jo Malone perfume sounds so perfect. I’m happy to have found another person who dedicated their weekend to Gilmore Girls – makes me feel less guilty!

November 30, 2016 at 11:53 pmI have yet to watch Gilmore Girls and I am having high hopes for it. My husband on the other hand rolled his eyes to the back of his head when I mentioned it to him. LOL!

December 1, 2016 at 3:28 pm#priorities Exactly. I haven’t bought a single thing myself as well, but I have added Gilmore Girls to my Netflix list and am going to watch it from the beginning. But probably as a New Years Resolution, as I still need to finish “The Crown” on my own and “Breaking Bad” with Mr. Loca.

December 4, 2016 at 11:45 amOh, I liked The Crown!
I’ve watched Breaking Bad with Mr. Page, too, but I didn’t enjoy it at all. It made me sick and uncomfortable.
What I’ve always liked about Gilmore Girls, besides the smart, witty dialogue, is that it’s so comforting and uplifting (well, at least the old episodes were…).

December 1, 2016 at 10:15 pmI’ve never gotten into watching the Gilmore Girls, I remember I watched a few episodes a few years ago but I didn’t get hooked, now I feel like I’m missing out on something super important, haha! x

December 2, 2016 at 9:46 amI binged the revival in one night. And I don’t feel ashamed lol. I don’t really know how I feel about it either. I think I’m mostly happy with how it ended. I know a lot of people hated it and felt like it was a cliffhanger, but I don’t think that it was. I think we already kind of know how it truly ends. I wouldn’t mind a spinoff though haha!
Not surprised to see those listed as your favorites. They’re all awesome! 🙂

December 4, 2016 at 11:48 amPersonally, I’d like to see some storylines developed further (not just the ending), so I wasn’t completely satisfied. I really think there’ll be more episodes, though.

December 3, 2016 at 1:25 pmI have been thinking of watching Gilmore Girls from the beginning to as I have never really watched all the episodes before. And now, since everyone is talking about it…
I did some Christmas shopping only because I had to send gifts to my mom and nieces in Poland. As far as the rest of the shopping, not really done at all. I always find so many things I would like and have a much harder time buying for others! Lol But I absolutely love the Christmas season.

December 4, 2016 at 9:59 pmI watched all four episodes in just two days and I want more, so sad it’s all over. Although I’m hoping that the ending will mean there’s going to be more planned for the future. I am also loving that Zoeva palette x

I only got one present and I started to freak out as so many people already finished their shopping 😀 We got the tree and it’s waiting in the living room to be decorated… we are so lazy!
